A Man Called Otto
As CG Supervisor at Axis VFX, I helped bring A Man Called Otto to life with a mix of photoreal, invisible effects that supported the story’s emotional core.
Highlights included:
Transforming a small set into a bustling train station with CG trains and snowy tracks, adding tension to one of the film's most dramatic scenes.
Building a fully CG version of the Birchwood Estate to evoke the encroaching monotony Otto feels in his neighbourhood.
Seamlessly blending weather effects, including photoreal snow and flurries, to maintain visual continuity and heighten the film's bleak atmosphere.
Creating and integrating a CG Chevrolet SUV prototype into key scenes.
The goal was always to enhance the drama without drawing attention to the effects—a subtle but rewarding challenge.
